Suramics Pottery5-Piece Hand Sculpted Nativity
Handmade clay Nativity with Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, and a sheep and a cow. Jesus's manger is almost 2" high, and it's made of clay rolls to resemble logs. He's wrapped in swaddling clothes, and his little hand is up by his face. Mary is 5 1/2" tall, in a kneeling position. She's smiling down at Jesus, laying in the manger. Joseph is a little over 6" tall, also kneeling. These figures were all formed by hand, with the features and clothes painted with underglaze. The head scarves are a separate piece of clay attached to the figures while they were being made. The hair and Joseph's beard were made with an extruder.
