tisserandeAlpaca, Cashmere and Silk Handwoven Scarf
I have some cones of a lovely alpaca and silk yarn in a beautiful mixture of black, rust, orange, pale yellow and ecru, which reminded me of Indian tigers and inspired me to make this scarf. I wove black cashmere and silk, brown bourette silk and an ecru and brown rough silk in bands on the scarf, each colour revealing the pattern in a different way. This is a nice warm scarf with a lovely drape, perfect for the cooler days ahead.It measures 7.5" x 62", 19cm x 158cm, finished with a fringe.I recommend hand washing and a medium iron.
